Angular Error Reduction of a Machine Vision System using a Trapezoidal Trajectory Velocity Profile

Nowadays laser scanners play an important role in technology and research, when it comes to measure 3D coordinates physically real time of any object under observation. Laser have the these objects shortest with smallest measuring error. A novel scanner called Technical Vision System (TVS), which uses Dynamic Triangulation DC motors, was developed proven represent a fast reliable scanning system. Previous research used step response TVS mechanical actuators (DC motors), can overshoot if certain controller parameters closed-loop control are selected. If is undesirable, trade-off must be made between speed response. Thereby, present paper describes new approach actual angular position motors using trapezoidal profile for Motor velocity. The replaced by trajectory response, allows reduction relative error shaft value less than or equal 0.1 percent. Also, design system, implement motor velocity practice, described detail.
